Hello.
I’m a Korean-born-American graphic designer living and working in small NW town Bend, Oregon. I have been working in the field since 1995 in various capacities. I love to travel to less traveled places like Tunisia, Lesotho via South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Israel and the West Bank/Palestine. I love climbing rock, but will climb in the gym to stay connected when I have limited time. I am currently learning to tele ski while my family snowboards, and most importantly balance my life as a designer by just being in nature. I constantly love working to solve visual problems.
My work is an evolving idea based on a desire to practice and promote good visual design. Good design provokes envy, balances function + style, respects the past while honoring the present, is not afraid of being the first, knows the rules + how to properly break them, uses color + type with knowledge as well as intuition + chance, knows when and where to appear to its audience, gives freely, speaks from a meaningful place to the appropriate audience, beckons a relevant action or at least evokes thought and emotion, embraces the unexpected, and constantly evolves ~ for doers of good in this world.
